Proud Futures

Proud Futures is an award winning social enterprise founded by LGBTQ+ couple and social entrepreneurs Lou (she/her) and Ellis (they/them) Beardsmore.

We regularly deliver LGBTQ+ inclusion training and consultancy support across Scotland and are expanding globally. We have worked with over 100 organisations to date, including Police Scotland, Princes Trust, Glasgow University, Scottish Ballet, Firstport, and Social Investment Scotland.

Our work is primarily delivered through 3 Key Programmes:

Learning Programme: LGBTQ+ diversity training sessions in-person, online and through e-learning and LGBTQ+ consultancy for organisations

Leadership Programme: We deliver a 6 month LGBTQ+ Leadership Programme, LGBTQ+ coaching and run the LGBTQ+ Social Enterprise Network

Wellbeing Programme: Online and in-person LGTQ+ wellbeing events that are free and accessible to all including our annual Pride Outside Family Festival

Our Vision: A world that no longer excludes or discriminates against LGBTQ+ people, allowing us to feel confident and empowered to be ourselves and thrive in our communities.

Our Mission: We inspire and partner with individuals, organisations and government bodies to create spaces that aren’t structured by discrimination, promoting the safety and confidence of LGBTQ+ people through thought leadership and personalised services.
