The Concrete Garden is an urban community food growing, play and wellbeing project providing growing space, activities, events and volunteering opportunities for the people of Possilpark and the wider North Glasgow area. It transforms underused and derelict spaces into vibrant community gardens and natural play areas, where people can grow food, learn, volunteer, socialise and play.

The charity also provides free play activities for children and young people, including gardening, outdoor cooking, arts and crafts, woodwork, sports, den building and nature-based activities.

They are now seeking a new Treasurer, who, in addition to fulfilling the duties of a Trustee/Board Member, will maintain an overview of the charity’s financial affairs. The Treasurer ensures that effective and appropriate financial measures, controls and procedures are in place and maintained.

The Board currently meets 6 times per year, including the Annual General Meeting. Regular attendance at Board meetings is expected. Meetings may be held in person and/or online.

Rape Crisis Scotland is seeking dedicated feminist leaders, passionate about gender justice and making a difference for survivors of sexual violence to join our Board of Trustees.

We are looking for new Trustees, one with the requisite skill, experience and expertise to take on the role of Treasurer.

As part of the Board, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and effective governance of Rape Crisis Scotland, ensuring the organisation remains financially sound, ethical, and sustainable. You will also act as an ambassador for the charity and its mission, as well as contribute to key decisions that impact survivors of sexual violence in Scotland.

This is a voluntary position. The RCS Board of Trustees meets on a quarterly basis, with occasional additional meetings being arranged as necessary. Trustees can expect a time commitment of around 4-5 hours per month on average outwith or in preparation for these meetings.

Outside of our one-to-one companionship support, Amma runs weekly events for parents and children, including our Amma Family peer support activities and pregnancy group. As an Amma Family Supporter, you’ll provide helping hands to make sure these regular events run smoothly.
