Jhankar Beats

Jhankar Beats Glasgow is a community-focused arts organisation dedicated to promoting cultural diversity and social integration in the south east of Glasgow. Through music, dance and creative workshops we engage people from South Asian and other underrepresented communities, providing opportunities to share their cultural heritage while building connections across different backgrounds.

Our projects, such as “Rhythms of the Earth,” use arts-based approaches to spark dialogue on social and environmental issues, fostering inclusion, mutual understanding, and participation in local community life.

By offering accessible workshops, performances, and collaborative events, we create safe spaces where diverse voices are celebrated, intercultural friendships are nurtured, and individuals of all ages can contribute to a vibrant, cohesive community. Our work strengthens social cohesion, empowers minority groups, and helps integrate cultural expression into the broader life of the south east of Glasgow.
