Get Volunteering with Home-Start Glasgow South

We caught up with SEIN member Home-Start Glasgow South to learn about what volunteering is like, and the value of volunteers.

Who are Home-Start Glasgow South?

Home-Start Glasgow South is a charity that supports families to give young children the best possible start in life. They work with families across the Southside of Glasgow, with at least one child up to the age of 8, who would benefit from some help getting through the challenges of parenthood.

What do the volunteers do?

Volunteers visit families for 2-3 hours each week in their own homes to provide practical and emotional support. Whether it’s helping an isolated family to a local group, doing household tasks with an overwhelmed parent or be there as someone to talk to, the volunteers make a big difference.

Why volunteer? Let’s hear from the volunteers themselves…
